Alder is crafted from 100% British Shetland Wool Tweed, a heritage mill from West Yorkshire established in 1837. Each jacket is handmade by our in-house team here in London.
The 100% wool staple is rich in lanolin and tightly woven to provide natural water repellence and durability, insulating you through the winter months. Inside, a sleek cupro lining and mercerised detox cotton allows the body to breathe, with a silk-like smoothness against the skin. Finished with knitted offcut trims and quietly decedent metal dome buttons.
Designed with a nod to the traditional British hunting jacket it’s silhouette is crafted with structured shoulders, slim sleeves, and a gently fitted waist. Serving in both form and function, it is finished with a self-tie belt and wrapping pockets that accentuates the waistline. Wear with its dome metal buttons fully fastened to frame the face with authority (& shield your chin on a cold day without the need for a scarf!), or un-done for an asymmetric directional look. Alternatively, ease things up with the lapels laid flat to showcase its contrast colour whilst keeping an open front and ties kept at back as you ease into early spring.
