The Starboard pleated-skirt is made with 100% organic cotton chino. The fabric has a solid structure, tightly woven in the finest grade of organic cotton yarn to deliver exceptional durability while remaining breathable and naturally insulating, and finished with a subtle peached-effect offering a velvety smooth hand feel.
Our organic cotton is sourced from a luxury cotton supplier in Turkey with over half a century of history in pioneering environmentally responsible cotton farming. Their core values, aligning perfectly with that of DEPLOY’s, prioritise the longevity and resilience of interconnected natural-human ecosystems and seek to reverse the damaging effects of industrial mass agriculture. Complementing this is our Italian cotton jacquard jersey used in the back waistband contrast; 3-dimensionally knitted with a subtle chevron pattern and elastane stretch, the skirt hugs your waist snugly whilst enabling you to move comfortably.
Lined on the waistband and in pockets with a lightweight cupro rayon silky and breathable - a fibre derived from upcycled cotton seed that is fully biodegradable and compostable, it completes the garment with the balance of quiet luxury and responsible design as part of our circular, regenerative approach.
